Watch Ground Rules for Our Blog

At our blog, we’re dedicated to providing authentic insights into TV series from a historical perspective. Here’s how we approach our viewing and reviews:

We Watch Everything We Say We Watch

Commitment is key. Watching an entire series can be a time-intensive process, especially for shows with numerous seasons, but we aim to complete as much as possible. When life or availability gets in the way, we’re transparent—we’ll let you know exactly what we did and didn’t watch.

How We Decide What to Watch

We take a deliberate approach to sampling a series, ensuring we get a well-rounded understanding of its trajectory and tone:

  • Start with the Pilot and First Six Episodes
The pilot is the foundation, but it doesn’t always represent the series as a whole. Watching the first few episodes helps us see how the show evolves during its initial “settling in” period.
  • Key Points in Every Season
Season Premieres: These episodes often reestablish the tone, introduce new arcs, and address cliffhangers.
  • Mid-Season Episodes: These can reveal the show’s pacing and story-building techniques.
  • Season Finales: Critical episodes that often define a series and its impact.

What If the Whole Series Isn’t Available?

Sometimes, we can’t access every episode or season. In these cases, we watch as much as we can and provide detailed notes on what we’ve seen. We share our thoughts, interesting facts about the show’s production or cultural impact, and any related material we’ve uncovered.

Our goal is to give you an honest, informed perspective on every series we review. By following these ground rules, we ensure that every post reflects our genuine experiences and insights.
